Ice maker won't re-start after shutting off on full bin. Requires reset to operate.

The machine does not shut off after the ice bin is full. I think the bin thermistor may be bad.(WR55X10018) The specs I have calls for a resistance of 25.9-29.8K ohms. Since this is a temperature sensitve device, at what temp should I measure this? GE is of no help. I measure 12.5k @ 70F and 33.5K…

Ice is not forming
I recently cleaned my GE icemaker and now when I turn it back on, ice is not forming. The ice maker does not seem to be getting cold enough. I followed the troubleshooting tips from the manual including cleaning the condensor and this does not seem to be working. Any other suggestions?

stuck in harvest
I am working on a manitowoc model# QY0424A which is stuck in harvest mode. It heats the tray when water is running over it and cooling it when there is none running over it. Paint Chips in Ice
The evaporator on this model is not made from stainless and we have had the original replaced however we are atill experincing the same problem. After about 6-8 months the paint starts flaking off into the ice again. Can this part be replaced with a stainless steel evaparator?

Mount on rear of refridge leaks
THe black plastic connector leaks where it inserts into the internal water channel. The adhesive has been repalced but the black plastic coupler no longer achives a water tight seal. Is ther a remedy for this?

My Ice maker only makes two or three ice cubes at a time. It seems there is not enough water in the unit. There is an adjusment screw on the side. How do use this adjustment to control the amount of water.

You can turn the icemaker on. It will make ice but then it will shut off and melt down. You need to restart it a couple times a day.
