Oiling
Just inherited a white stand mixer from grandma's estate (without manual)! It was a bit rusty and dirty, but family cleaned it up, now we want to know how to oil it before we turn it on!

Just stopped working
I was creaming shortening, eggs, and sugar for banana bread - added the bananas and after less then a minute the mixer just stopped running. I'e had it just over a year and probably used it 6-7 times.

Need parts
I need to replace the base (that contains the blending prongs) and the plastic cover that it screws into.

"hair trigger" on mixer
Just barely touching the speed swith will cause the mixer to go into slow mixing speed. This is very dangerous as it's very easy to accidently turn it on while using it. Any suggestions on how to remedy?

Purchasing Missing Parts

KitchenAid Classic whisk scrapes bowl
I just got a used KitchenAid Classic, but the attachments all scrape the bowl. I tried adjusting the screw, but it didn't work--all it did was block the locking mechanism in the back. Can someone help me figure out what to do to fix this? The bowl is already looking worn.

Problem
Use mixer only 3 times and on the 3rd time it died. It just stopped mixing and now does nothing.It was given as a gift and where I live cant seem to find some one to look at it to get fixed. All suggestions appreciated

Start malfunction

Oil Spillage
I laid the mixer down sideways and a puddle of light oil appeared. It seems to have come from inside the mixer. Should I be concerned? Is there any way I can replace the machine oil myself?

Will only run at 1 speed super fast then turns off after 30 seconds or so if turn mixer of will rwestsrt but again only high speed and for 30 seconds

I am looking for the part at the very end of the mixer head. It is silver plastic, and it sort of clips into the end of the brown plastic dial with the speeds on it. Does anyone know what this part is called and if it has a part number? Do you know when I can get this part? What about cost?
