The Ram to my compactor is stuck down
The drive chain to my compactor broke, with the Ram down. I took the back off and I cannot get the ram to release so I can get the drawer out.

wiring diagram
The operation cycle is damaged. The ram moves only up or down when the switch key is held manually. Originally the key was used to make a momentary contact and the compactor did the rest: start,go through a cycle, and stop automatically. Any comments are welcome.

Won't Start because the little rectangular piece that sticks up from the toe kick assembly on the right side and presses against the white button broke off! We bought this in December, 2008. We need the replacement piece.

loud banging
KitchenAid Trash Compactor Model #KUCC151LSSO. After you hear it crushing the trash, it starts making an extremely loud banging, vibrating noise that does not stop and I need to turn it off. I can't see anything stuck inside on the top. Please help. Thank you.

Compactor - Won't shut off
Hello: My compactor ram goes down, then back up and when it get to the top it just keeps jogging and won't shut off. I have to pull the drawer out to shut it down. As soon as I push the drawer in it goes thru the same cycle.

Replaced slide co, 4162448, now the drawer will not open. There isn't enough throw, 7/16", in the release. The locking arms hit the angle near the top. I can open the drawer using rod to push down the arms.

The interior ram plate keeps falling into the trash bin itself. Does it due to the set screws that fit into the base worn and the vibration keeps it from staying in place? Or does the plastic seal beed replacement?

motor won't reverse [usually]
when piston hits bottom you can hear a difference in the motor but it does not shut off normally. If you stop and then start the motor a number of times sooner or later the motor will stop and youcan open.

Not shutting off when finished compacting
The trash compactor will compact but when it's in the highest position it just thumps like it's stuck and I have to turn it to off. I've cleaned out all excess paper that was stuck and don't see any other things in the way. What could it be?

motor keeps running
I have a whirlpool compactor with the model number gx900qpgb0 and the motor continues to run after the trash has been compacted. the compactor completes the cycle. The only way to turn it off, is to press the "off" button. How do I fix this problem? Do I need to replace a motor or what?
