    have replace hoses....solenoid works...
    gets cold only sometimes...have new pump

    cleaning ice machine
    I need instructions on cleaning ice machine KUis15nrtso.....I bought Nickel cleaner but this talks about disconnecting parts and soaking them in a mix of solution/cleaner and water and then running same thru machine and flushing...I thought I just buy a bottle of cleaner and run it thru a clean cycle?

    KitchenAid KUIS18NNJ84 Standalone Ice Maker
    Ice maker stopped making ice. Large slab on evaporator plate. Turned unit off to melt ice. Turned back on. Unit works great for about a week, then same result. Cleaned unit with cleaner and scrubbed evaporator plate per service manual, cleaned cutter grid. Turned unit on, makes ice again for about a week, and same result. Any ideas?

    No longer makes ice
    we usually only run ours in the Spring thru Fall...just turned it on and it makes the noises as though it is making ice - but nothing happens. The big reservoir at the back/top is full of water but no Ice gets made and the internal unit seems to be fairly warm. No water or ice in the wire grid at the top either.

    Ideas?
