I need instructions on cleaning ice machine KUis15nrtso.....I bought Nickel cleaner but this talks about disconnecting parts and soaking them in a mix of solution/cleaner and water and then running same thru machine and flushing...I thought I just buy a bottle of cleaner and run it thru a clean cycl…

Icemaker was working fine. I turned it off as I was going to be out of town for a long period. I came back, turned it on, and it will not get cold, it is very hot if I turn it on. Is there a reset button? compressor was replaced just recently

Thinning ice
My ice is half the size it should normally be. I've cleaned it out several times and checked my water and everything seems to work fine. With only half the ice, it usually melts before we can get a full bin of ice

Ice is too small. New machine (7 months) Sears just replaced pump and circuit board this week, now the ice is too small. I made sure the drain plug was tightened.

Ice Maker Makes Very Little Ice
My ice maker makes only a small amount of ice even though I have made the following repairs:
*lines have been cleaned
*coils have been cleaned
*motor has been replaced
*water filter replaced (it filters water for both the ice maker and the sink)

Ice Maker Keeps Shutting Off
I just bought and had installed the KUIS18NNTB1. It runs for about 30 minutes and then the Service light comes on. IFyou unplug and plug back in, it runs for another 30 minutes. It is making ice.. Please help.

icemaker seems to waste a lot of water--we just replaced the pump but could there be something else wrong? It drains into a receptacle because we don't have a drain for it and it wastes about 40 gallons trying to fill the ice bin. Cubes are also thin....

Not making Ice
My Ice maker is making very little ice in a 24 hour period. It seems to be pumping lots of water to the cooling tray and a lot of it is overflowing to the grid area. The water is then flowing down to the ice bin.

The icemaker makes a hissing noise and the only solution the local Kitchenaid service center gives is for me to kick the front of the unit and hopefully it will stop. I'm here so you can guess that their solution didn't work.

Incomplete Cube Formation Cycle
The heated grid does not melt through the ice sheets completely before the next sheet is ready, so the sheets stack over the grid at times and cause the water flow to run into the ice resevoir. The wires are warm, but is there a way to make them warmer/hotter?
