The manual seems to indicate that the heating elements are in direct contact with the oil. Is that how it's meant to be ?

doesnt sound too good
microwave started to make bumming noise and cuts out completely after 4mins or so microwaving, oven @grill ok so far switches back on after 15-20 mins

I have a BSB600 Stick blender and have had the little plastic spindle at the top of the blend stick attachment spin out of shape which let the shaft go through the sid and now makes the whole attachment usless. Is there a way I can get a replacement spindle (cap) rather than have to buy the whole…

NO USER MANUAL
I know this machine is very simple to use but there are no safety instructions whatsoever. I would have expected a cautionary note somewhere as high temperatures are involved.

Blue standby light does not work
The blue standby light no longer works. What sort of lamp is it and can it be renewed. The red light and keep warm lights function OK and the kettle boils OK.
