Installing my Dometic RM2354
I connected the positive and negative feeds (5' span w/ 10G wire) to the positive and negative posts on my battery but when I turn the fridge on the auto and Lev 5 cooling light flash and then the fridge turns off. No fuses have blown. Did I do something wrong?

i have a 1975 wilderness camper with a dometic model rm 46 gas/electric refrigerator. the frige works fine on gas, but doesn't work on electric. any tips to things i can check?

12v good - gas bad
Fridge works great on 12v. Was working fine on Gas but just stopped. The pilot still lights and remains lit but no cooling is happening? Thermostat? Filter? Where can I find parts for this fridge? Thanks.

Won't switch to electric from gas
When plugged into electric, continues to run on gas. All fuses and circuit breakers are good. Everything double checked and is working properly but still continues to run on gas. Please help.

AC light comes on then goes off
I have a Dometic lp-gas and electric Refrigerator. auto manual energy selector. this is the problem...When i turn the unit on it goes to gas selector..If it goes to the ac selector it will stay there for awhile then switches over to the check light. i have no LP gas at all and it should go to the ac…

Freezer door opens, being pushed by a spring, whenever the main door to the unit is opened. I see no broken or missing catch. Is there some friction device in the hinge mechanism please?

The frigge does not have an indicator position to show when it is switched over to Gas. I am assuming the position is at 12 o'clock.

Leak?
Although the unit still cools, after it sets for awhile while in the off condition, upon opening the door a faint smell of ammonia is noted. Do I have a leak or is this normal? If it indeed leaks, what is the fix for that. Thanks

Fridge not staying cold
I have a prob with this fridge staying cold. Sometimes it's cold and the freezer freezes and then last weekend everything in the freezer melted and the fridge was as warm as a cupboard.

Won't cool
Had the recall upgrade done in March before a week-long trip. Returned and parked on pad, connected to shore power as usual.

When in 12 volt operation with the car's engine off what is the average time that a good battery could run the unit, i.e., how many amps per hour does it draw at 12 volts?
Also, can the unit make ice cubes without freezing the rest of the food in the unit?
