  the words have fade off the front of me oven. the thermostat control, heat selection switch and the timer switch the words have all faded. can not tell what I have the oven on or the temp.

  The LED will not turn on at all.
  
  I tried to turn it on and nothing happens.
  
  Is there something I need to do prior to starting it for the 1st time? I washed it but I did not was the outer part of the cooker.
