There appears to be a stop on the ring so I can't twist the unit off. Any ideas or tips?

Model Number GFC300R 01
I think my dispoasll shows GFC300R 01 on the unit. I can rotate the unit with a handle but it will not run by itself.

garbage disposal buzzing when turned on
The disposal does not work and when turned on makes a buzzing sound

Broken
We have a GFC720F disposal. One of the two steel "arms" attached to the turntable, has broken off. This unit is about 3.5 years old. I am trying to determine if it is still under warrenty. Also, can the unit be repaired, or must it be replaced?

GE dispossall gfc325f not working
We have been out of town for a month and the disposall is making a humming noice. I know there is nothing stuck inside because we have been out of town. thanks for your help, pam
