how do you remove filter capit is very stiff
I need to remove the filter cap which is at the front of the machine but can only turn it one third if the way 0- any suggestions tips?

fan oven not getting hot
when turned to fan oven, the main oven is not getting hot although fan is working. When turned to conventional, main oven only gets slightly hot. However, when main oven is turned to grill, it gets very hot - hotpoint BD52

When in oven mode, the fuse is tripped everytime the door is opened. If you hold the door switch in and turn the oven on it works fine but as soon as the door switch is released it tripps the breaker. Is this a safety switch and what does the door switch do ?

Door Switch
When I tested the old switch I could bridge across the live wire and the nuetral and the machine worked this indicated a faulty switch I replaced the switch but found the same situation ie I could bridge out the switch and the washer worked what should I now look for

OVEN WON'T TURN OFF
The oven stays lit and when I turned the gas off and unplugged it and turned it back on, the auto ignition flares up brightly and the gas goes back on and the oven lights itself and doesn't turn off.
