    How do I remove an object or spring stuck in my disposal? Is it possible to open the unit to clear?

    My disposal just hums when turned on. Is it time for a new one? Reset button has been pushed.

    garbage disposal will not turn on
    While power seems to be going to disposal it will not operate. tried re-set button. it does not spin when you put hand in manually
