  Functions of switches/bottons on the door
  I have a chest freezer, Model 253 135 51100, Ser# wb34351203, manufactured in Oct 2003. It has three bottons or switches ond door from left to right, Quick freez, power, temp alarm. I would like to know under what circumstances the Quick freez botton goes off. if there is no interaction with power and/or switch by itself can the switch teruns off by any reason?

  We just purchased a Kentmore uprisght freezer at a garage sale and noticed an on/off switch on the bottom, under the door. Wondering what it is and why it buzzes when we turn it off. And will the motor stop running all the time? We've had it plugged in for about three hours now.
