  My 696 also gave up the ghost. After a bit of debugging and trial and error, I found my transformer died and it needs at least 28V -- using a 28V transformer produces very weak mist. From my debugging background I have a feeling the correct voltage should be around 40-48VAC that goes into the blue…

  Dispenser not holding the water.
  I cleaned out all the dust from the back but didn't undo anything. During the night it entire bottle of water drained out all over everything. Misplaced my manual. What is going on? Any suggestions?

  I am looking for the part at the very end of the mixer head. It is silver plastic, and it sort of clips into the end of the brown plastic dial with the speeds on it. Does anyone know what this part is called and if it has a part number? Do you know when I can get this part? What about cost?
