  This item is brand new and it does not
  have a switch to turn it on and off. Is
  there a trick to turning it on. Is it worth

  manual and recipes required
  I have no instructions or recipes for the crockpot I have inherited.
  It has a ceramic insert and glass lid and has 3 settings: hi, low and autoshift. I have never used a crockpot.
