VCEF36 electric fireplace
My Vermont Castings electric fireplace heater shot sparks then stopped heating. The blower motor still continues to work, but it does not heat. All other fireplace functions appear to be working normally. I live on an island where there are no company representatives or distributors available.

Indoor ventless fireplace
While some construction was being done the subdivision's gas was turned off. We now have the water heater and the kitchen stove working with gas but not the fireplace

I'm thinking of buying a used 1984 Vermont Castings Resolute wood stove and would like to know specs and clearance requirements for installation in my home. I don't want to have to build a large hearth but i don't want a fire hazard either.

motor not working
I believe that the flame motor may have stopped working. All the light bulbs are lit but the flame visual effect is not. What could be wrong and how do we fix this or is there a part we can order?

when do I use the white handle on the side? Also there is an air hole on the same side but down at the bottom of the stove which I can cover or leave open. The draft on the back seems to self adjust. Any info would be appreciated.

Replacement Logs
Couple of questions: 1) Is it normal for these logs to disintegrate under normal usage after 3 1/2 years? We aren't huge users of the fireplace; maybe 20 times in a season, if that much. 2) Where can we buy the replacement log/logs for this fireplace?

We love our little aspen woodstove, except quite often upon starting a fire smoke billows out of the door and surrounding seam. Proper Chimney and burn

Flame motor replacement
Hello,
I need to buy a flame motor.
Everything else is working but the flame wont move anymore. Would you please send me contact information about were I can buy a new motor. I think that the DC motor parts number is 10001978 but I'm not sure.

Kepps shutting down!!
The house I bought came with this gas fireplace. When i light the pilot and then try to turn the unit on, it shuts off after about 30 seconds to a minute. I tried removing the unit to give it a good cleaning , but it still shuts off. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It sounds like thermocouple but when I short the 2 terminals that the thermocouple wires go to the light will still not stay lit. Does the thermocouple close a contact to keep the pilot light on or does it dropout to keep it on? Or do I have another problem?

Hooked up electric to valve per instructions. I used a regular light switch which I was told to do from tech support. Does the switch have to be the GWSK switch? The pilot lights and stays lit but the burner does not light.

I follow the lighting instructions, the pilot light is on, when I turn the knob to on, the pilot light goes out. Is there a battery that controls the valve? I put new batteries in the remote controller box. Thanks for any help, Fred

How much heat should be thrown into a room from the fireplace when the fan is on. This was purchased in 1997 and had not been used much but I have a "Hook" style metal device which I do recall has something to do with the fan.
