  There is a difference between the indicated temperature (confirmed by independent thermometer) and the thermostat setting. For example, I set it at 80, and the room warms up to 68. There's got to be a way to adjust the tilt of the vial containing the mercury drop, but I just can't see it.
  Also, FWIW, the outside of the thermostat is marked Amana, the inside marked Honeywell.

  I need to replace my honeywell thermostat RL1620 b
  I need to replace my honeywell thermostat RL1620 but the wires are not marked, so I am not sure how to wire the new one. There is black, red and yellow wires. Any help will be appreciated.

  I have a LR1620 thermostat and below the vials of murcery there is a needle with adjustments from .1 thru 1.2. what does this do and where should it be set. the thermostat is running a coleman heat pump.
