GFCI tripping

As soon as Ice maker bail drops and white plastic comb rotates, the GFCI trips. When unit is plugged directly into a 20 amp circuit breaker controlled outlet, unit performs flawlessly. When plugged into GFCI protected outlet, it trips every time. This unit has ALWAYS been plugged into GFCI since it was born in 1997. Just recently started having tripping problems. Any ideas? cpc
