light goes on but no refrigeration

I have a U-Line 75R under counter refrigerator for my basement bar. Not long after we bought it, it stopped working. we called for service, and the serviceman said that the defrost timer was not set properly. He said that he fixed it and the refrigerator worked for a few years without any problem. Now it is back in the same light goes on (so it is getting power), but the compressor will not run.

I have tried moving the thermostat dial from one end to the other without any change.

Someone told me that this model doesn't HAVE a defrost timer, and that the problem is probably with the thermostat.

Your opinion?

Do you know where I can get a new thermostat for this model?
