Oven light Bullb

I'm trying to change the bulb in my oven but can't et the bulb cover off. I have read that it is to have a wire retainer but mine does not. Can you help me?

    I know what the manual says, but on my oven you have to screw the bulb cover off counter-clockwise. There is no slide wire retainer like the book says.
