My original problem, (3 days ago), was the machine wouldn't drain the water. I thought that the drain pipe may have been frozen, as the out side temp was -22. I opened all my cabinet doors and left the dishwasher door open so that it would get some heat from the woodstove. The water finally drained and I used terry towels to dry out the rest of the water. I removed the filter and fould a very small nail head. This was the kind you would find on a large spoon handle. I have left the doot ajar to fry out any other water. When I turn on the dishwasher I get the usual hum just prior to when the water usually goes into it. No water is going in. I shut it off after about a minute and try a few hours later. Any ideas?
