cycle problem

will not pump water in to begin the wash cycle. when turned on willpump the left in water out. motor continous torun but water come in and wash cycle begins.

    No water comes in after with water is pumps out of the bottom of th dishwasher. Motor continues to run but no washing takes place. The on light stays on. It is on the Econo cycle.All lights are on, I am afraid to let it run the whole cycle,it may burn out the motor. Should I let it run the whole 74 minutes with no water coming in or going out. thanks for help.
