Question About Hotpoint Dishwasher FDW60
Doesn't dry ANYTHING!...

My new dishwasher doesn't seem to be drying anything. I put it on a wash and dry program last thing at night but the next morning (10+ hours later) the "drying" light is flashing but nothing is dry. Suggestions and remedies please.

3 Ours had the same problem, it turned out to be we had a blockage in the drain hose. I disconnected drain hose and found it was blocked with fat deposits. I ended up getting a pipe cleaner to remove the fat then drained any remaining water by sucking it through. Dries perfectly now. Another problem was cracked water pipe at rear of dishwasher but this stopped the dishwasher working all together as water was dripping into the electrics underneath, one to bear in mind

0 Thank you for the advice,,My machine is a SDW60 I have only used the dishwasher 4 times now and always rinse my plates so can't see it being a blocked drain hose, I will check it for kinks though. I have discovered that it WILL dry if the "Fast & Dry" setting is used but this seems to be the only program that will dry anything. Any ides please?
