Whirlpool Dishwasher DU1100

spontaneous drainning

Our washer was off, and suddenly the motor came on. It started a drain cycle, but there was no water present, and no need to drain. Any ideas? We have turned off power, and tried to allow a reset, but it does not seem to be immediately helpful.
