Whirlpool Garbage Disposal GC2000

GC 2000 garbage disposal

I have a GC2000 garbage disposal and it is not working. The motor is humming and it is not disposing plus it is plugged (water takes a long time before it drains). What can the problem be? I checked to see if any thing is stuck but could not feel anything.
