oven door locked

I was baking and took something out of oven, the oven door slammed and the oven door locked. The oven cooled down and still would not open. I HAVE THE MANUAL AND THERE IS NOTHING IN IT, TO GIVE ME A CLUE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.
