adhering batter

I have a maxon electric crape maker. I can't get the batter to stay on the device. I put the batter in a metal pie tin. Dipped the crape maker into it, and the batter won't stick. What am I doing wrong?

i have the same problem. my first crepe comes out perfectly, and the rest won't stick. did you find help?
