Starter lever will not stay down

Starter Lever will not stay down when depreseed. Pops up immediately. When I hold it down manually the toaster works, but that's no way to run toaster.
Any suggestions about how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Same problem here

I have done some research and discovered that the electromagnet inside the toaster is the problem. Sometimes the circuit board is out of alignment. In my case, that's not the problem. I can't figure ours out. But now that I have removed the top of the toaster, I can't figure out how to get the handle back on properly. It just dangles and won't stay on.
