  • E3 / E4 error code

I jumped into it and carefully took out the two screws on each side of the module tray, pulled it out about 4 inches. In the back of the module tray is a white and a black plug set. The E3 top fan black plug, white is E4 for bottom fan. The pin had erroded and broke the circuit. I left the white plug and cut off the black ends and wire nut wired the two wires. It was not an easy job, the repairman said estimate was $85 plus parts. I can work a long time for $85. Total time about 45 minutes.

E3 is upper fan inop and e4 is l ower fan inop. Before doing anything check the pins in the plug. Mine deteriorated from the moisture. I cut out plug and by-passed using 2 small yellow (or white) wire nuts. You PROBABLY do not need a fan.
