Before You Start, Become Familiar with Your Dishwasher
IMPORTANT: See page 14 for complete instructions on how to use your dishwasher.
Parts of Your Dishwasher
Control Panel: Located on top of the door. The buttons control your dishwasher. The
lights show the status of the dishwashing cycle.
Detergent Dispenser: Automatically releases the soap during the wash part of the cycle (see
page 14).
Dishwashing Compartment: The compartment where tableware and cookware are loaded for
washing.
Door Switch: Located in the door. Automatically pauses dishwashing when the door is
opened.
External Indicator Lights: Standard on ED models. An optional feature on ID models. The lights
show the status of the dishwashing cycle and things that may require
your attention (see page 20).
Filter System: Traps food and debris that could damage or plug up the mechanical
parts of your dishwasher. See page 22 for cleaning instructions.
Racks: The racks are coated with a durable coating that protects the finish of
tableware and cookware. They each have 2 rows of adjustable tines that
allow you to make room for large items in the center of the rack (see
page 13).
Rinse Aid Dispenser: Automatically releases rinse aid during the rinse part of the cycle. Rinse
aid is a fluid that helps the dishes dry properly and helps prevent water
spots. The amount of rinse aid dispensed is adjustable (see page 15).
Silverware Basket: Use the silverware basket to hold silverware and kitchen utensils. It has
2 compartments that snap closed to hold small items (see page 11).
Spray Arms: The spray arms spray water on the dishes at high pressure to remove
soil.
Toe Kick Panel: Covers the internal mechanics of the dishwasher located below the door.
It must always be in place during operation.
