Problem May Be Caused By What to Do
Dishes are not clean

Cycle selected is too short Select normal or heavy wash cycle.
Incorrect loading Make sure dishes and atware are loaded properly.
See Loading Your Dishwasher section. Make sure all
items are loaded securely and do not tip over.
Filter system clogged Make sure lter system is clean and properly installed.
See page 12.
Detergent build-up in
dishwashing compartment
Pour a teaspoon to tablespoon of citric acid crystals
or white vinegar into the pre-wash compartment in
the detergent dispenser. Run a normal cycle with no
dishes.
Chucks of food left on
dishes or in dishwasher
compartment due to drain
outlet cover being removed
Check to make sure drain outlet cover is in place. See
page 14.
Whitish-blue sticky lm
on dishes
To much rinse agent See page 9 to change rinse agent dispenser setting.
Using liquid rinse agent
with a detergent that
already contains rinse
agent
Do not use rinse agent with detergent that contains
rinse agent or change detergent type.
Spotting and lming Hard water/incorrect use of
dishwasher detergent
Use correct amount of dishwasher detergent or change
detergent type. See page 8. NOTE: phosphate free
detergents do not work well with hard water.
You may need a home water softener.
No rinse agent Make sure rinse agent dispenser is full.
Rinse agent dispenser not
set correctly
See page 9.
Too little water Make sure water valve is fully open. Make sure that
water pressure is between 4.2 and 140 p.s.i. and ow
rate is a minimum of 3.0 gpm.
Spray arms do not rotate
properly
Make sure that both spray arms rotate freely. Make
sure that items do not obstruct movement of spray
arms. If necessary, clear any obstructions.
Make sure holes in spray arms are not blocked. If
necessary, clear holes with a pointed object and rinse
under water.
Strainer blocked Check strainer. Clean if necessary.
Etching Washing at too high a temperature and/or using too
much detergent can cause etching on (crystal) glass
(a permanent condition). To prevent damage, wash
(crystal) glass at “economy” temperature and dispense
dishwasher detergent according to page 8.
