Your cordless kettle has the power
supply connected to the power base,
eliminating the need to plug and
unplug the cord from the electrical
outlet. However, it is always a good
safety practice to unplug the power
base when not in use.
• For general operation see “Using
Your Electric Kettle.”
• After filling the kettle with water, it
should be placed on the base so
that it is correctly engaged.
• After use the kettle may be left on
the power base but we recommend
you unplug the cord from the outlet.
Using Your Electric Kettle
BEFORE FIRST USE: Remove plas-
tic bag from outside kettle and any
packaging that may be inside the
kettle. Fill the kettle to the MAX indi-
cator on water level window and
bring to a boil until kettle shuts off
automatically. Discard water and
repeat the process. Rinse out the
kettle 2 or 3 times. The kettle is now
ready for use.
1. Remove from power base before
filling.
2. Fill the kettle with the required
amount of water. Ensure that the
water level is between MIN and
MAX on the water level indicator. If
using the mesh filter, it must be in
place.
WARNING: If the kettle is over-
filled there is a risk that boiling
water may spit out of the spout
and from the steam vent located
on the underside of the base.
3. Make sure that the lid is in place
and power base is standing on a
level surface. If lid is not in place,
auto shut-off will not operate.
4. Plug into the outlet and turn on (l).
5. The kettle will switch off (O) auto-
matically when the water has
boiled. (Remember, the surface of
the kettle gets hot; take care–only
grip the kettle by the handle).
6. After use, unplug the kettle and
empty.
NOTE: Use water only. If used for
foods other than water, the
warranty will be voided.

wWARNING
Burn Hazard
If kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spit out of the spout.
Heating Element Discolors
It is normal for stainless steel heating
elements to discolor. This does not
affect the performance of the kettle.
Do not use abrasive scouring pads or
cleaners as this may damage the
stainless steel surface.
