Outel”Painted Finish
When therange is cool, wash the
top, front and, if exposed, the sides
with mild soap and water.Never
use any harsh abrasivesor cleaning
powders that may scratchor mar
the painted surface. Rinsethe
surface with clean water and dry
with a soft cloth. If you wish,
occasionallyapply a thin coat of
mild cleaning wax to help protect
the finish.
control Panel and mobs
It’sa good idea to wipe the control
panel after each use of the oven.
Clean with mild soap and water,
rinse with clean water and polish
dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleansers,
strong liquid cleaners or oven
cleaners on the control
panel—they will damage the
finish.
The control knobs may be
removed for easier cleaning. To
remove knob, pull it straight off
the stem. If knob is difficult to
remove, place a towel or dishcloth
between the knob and control
panel and
pLI1lgently. Wash knobs
in soap and water but do not soak.
ovenBottom
Tile oven bottom has a porcelain
enamel finish. To makecleaning
easier, protectthe oven bottom
from excessive spillovers.This is
particularlyimportantwhen baking
a fruit pie or other foodswith a
high acid content.Hot fruit fillings
or other foodsthat are highly
acidic (such as milk, tomatoesor
sauerkraut, and sauces with
vinegar or lemonjuice) may cause
pitting and damage to the porcelain
enamel surface.
To protectthe ovenbottomfinish,
place a piece of aluminumfoil
slightlylargerthanthe bakingdish
or a smallcookiesheeton a lower
shelfor underthe bakingdish to
catch any boilovers,It shouldnot
completelycover the shelfas this
would cause unevenheat in the
oven.Aluminum foil shouldnotbe
placed on the oven bottom.
If a spilloverdoesoccur on the
oven bottom, allowthe oven to cool
first. Youcan thenclean the oven
bottom with soap and water,a mild
abrasive cleanser,soap-filled
abrasive pads or causticoven
cleaner, followingthe
manufacturer’sdirections,
