Thank you for purchasing the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 Li-ion / NiCad /NiMH Battery Charger. The BCUNI2 /
BCUNI3 provides the ability to charge battery packs externally for Camcorders, Digital Cameras and
Mobile Phones plus charging for AA and AAA batteries. With the ease of adjustable contacts you are
able to charge nearly all common Li-ion, NiCd and NiMH batteries. In addition the unit is able to
charge USB equipment via its USB output port.

TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE: It is normal for the BCUNI2 /BCUNI3 to be warm during use.
Notice
Keep the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 dry, if it gets wet wipe it dry immediately.
Use and store it in normal temperature environments.
Handle the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 carefully, do not drop it. Do not use the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 if
the cords become damaged.
Keep the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 away from dust and dirt; wipe it with a cloth occasionally to keep it clean.
There are no user serviceable parts inside! Modifying or tampering with its internal components can cause a
malfunction and will invalidate its warranty. If your BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 is not performing as it should during
the warranty period, contact Lenmar for warranty service.
WARRANTY
This limited warranty starts from the date of original purchase and expires 2 years thereafter.
If, during this period, any part, because of manufacturing defects or workmanship fails to
function properly under normal use will be repaired at no charge for parts and labor or, at our
option, the product will be replaced. The following is excluded: damages from delay or loss of
use of equipment, or damaged batteries, malfunctions resulting from misuse, tampering,
unauthorized repairs, modifications, or accident. Package the unit and its accessories carefully
using ample padding material to prevent damage in transit and ship it prepaid and insured to:

When sending in product for service you must first get a Return Authorization by visiting
www.lenmar.com/warranty fill the out required form and our customer service reps will email
you instructions on returning the item to us and issue a RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER
(RA) to be include on the box and any corresponding paper work. If you have any questions
please call customer service at (805) 384-9600.
All packages should include evidence of the date of purchase. Enclose $10.00 for shipping and
handling for addresses in the US and $15.00 for addresses in Canada. For outside the US and
Canada, freight will vary depending upon the ship to address.

Inserting the Desired Battery to Charge.
With the sliding cover extended insert the
battery into the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3, slide the
battery back about 1/8 of an inch so you are
able to see the contacts on the battery as well
as the contacts on the charger. Manually
adjust the contacts on the charger to meet
the contacts on the battery. If needed adjust
the height of the contacts by using the
adjusting dial until the chargers contacts
meet the batteries contacts.
Adjusting the Sliding Cover.
For small or standard batteries, just simply pull
back the sliding cover. If your battery is larger,
you will need to press down the release
button which allows the sliding cover to
extend up to 3 inches, allowing you to charge
longer batteries.
Adjusting Contact Positions for Charging.
By manually moving the contact adjusters left
and right you are able to adjust the contacts
to your desired width to accommodate the
positive and negative terminals. Then with the
adjusting dial you are able to raise and lower
the contacts allowing the contacts to touch
the positive and negative terminals.
Charging AA and AAA Rechargeable Batteries.
You can charge either one or two batteries at a
time by sliding back the cover. Insert either one
battery by using the right channel or two
batteries by using both channels. (see diagram)
again use the adjusting dial to either raise or
lower the charger contacts to meet the batteries
contacts. Pay attention to the polarity markings
on the channel of the charger.
Note:
Do not mix cells type in the charging bays. Cells must be inserted in the charging bays must be the same size, capacity and
chemistry. (I.e. NiCd or NiMH) The charger may malfunction with mixed cell types or capacities in the charging bays and damage the
cells permanently.
