COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove old compressor. Unsweat all tubes from the old compressor. Do not cut them off.
2. Remove the start capacitor.
3. Remove the start relay.
Note: If the old compressor was a Copeland model:
· Cut 2” off of the suction line.
· Remove the three compressor leads from the ice machine.
· Remove the two remaining leads from the start relay from the ice machine.
· Install six new wires (included in kit) following wiring diagram (included in kit).
4. Assemble the new start relay to the mounting bracket and mount it in the control box.
5. Mount the new start capacitor to the existing bracket.
6. Install the new compressor, as shown. If the old compressor was a Copeland model, follow the assembly sketch below.
7. Replace filter drier with new one. Check your Manitowoc parts manual for correct drier size.
8. Wire all components according to the wiring diagram included in this kit.
9. Place new wiring diagram on top of old one.
10. Evacuate the ice machine following the steps on the Service Bulletin.
11. Charge the ice machine with the nameplate charge.
