To cancel the wake function
completely:
• Slide WAKE MODE to OFF. No

• The wake time display shows OFF
to indicate that wake function has
been deactivated.
• The set wake time will not be
erased and can be used the next
time when you switch on wake
function again.

Important battery
precautions
• Any battery may present a risk of
re, explosion, or chemical burn
if abused. Do not try to charge a
battery that is not intended to be
recharged, do not incinerate, and
do not puncture.
• Non-rechargeable batteries, such
as alkaline batteries, may leak if left
in your product for a long period
of time. Remove the batteries from
the product if you are not going to
use it for a month or more.

one battery, do not mix types
and make sure they are inserted
correctly. Mixing types or inserting
incorrectly may cause them to leak.

Plugging in for power
AC OUTLET POWER SUPPLY:

• The AC power plug is
polarized (one blade
is wider than the
other) and only ts
into AC power outlets

• If the plug will not go into the
outlet completely, turn the plug
over and try to insert it the other
way.
• If it still does not t, contact a
quali ed electrician to change the
outlet, or use a di erent one.
• Do not attempt to bypass this
safety feature.
• Power is fed to the unit even when
it is not functioning. To cut the
power supply o , the power cable
must be unplugged.
Top and front
Display
• The default sleep time is
90 minutes.
• The radio will be
switched on once SLEEP is
pressed.
• If you set Sleep function with
low volume level before going
to bed, we advise using the
Wake to Alarm mode.
Battery back-up operation
• This clock radio is equipped with a
memory holding system that can
be powered with 2 “AA” batteries
(included).
• The power failure protection circuit
will not operate unless battery is
installed.
• When normal household power
is interrupted, or AC line cord
is unplugged, the batteries will
power the clock radio to keep
track of time and alarm settings
programmed into memory.
• When the battery backup
functions, the digital display will
not light, however, the function of
alarm still occurs during the power
interruption if remaining battery
power is adequate.
• Normal operation will resume after
AC power is restored so you will
not have to reset the time or the
alarm.
To install the batteries:
1. Remove battery compartment
door (located at the bottom of the
radio) by applying thumb pressure
to the tab on battery door and
then lift the door out and o the
cabinet.
2. Insert 2 AA batteries (included).
3. Replace the compartment door.
Note: we recommend that you replace
the batteries every year.
Power failure indicator
When AC power is interrupted
(disconnected) for a short period of
time, both time and alarm settings
will change (unless battery is
installed). After AC power is restored
(reconnected), the Digital Display
will blink to indicate that power was
interrupted and you should readjust
the time and alarm settings.

Switching band
Slide BAND on the left of the unit to
select AM or FM band.
Tuning radio
Rotate TUNING on the right of the unit
to select radio frequency. Current radio
frequency shows on the display.
Antennas
• AM Antenna – A built-in ferrite rod
antenna eliminates the need for an
outside antenna for AM reception.
Rotating the unit slightly may
improve reception of distant AM
stations.
• FM Antenna – The power cord
acts as your FM antenna. The
power cord picks up moderate
to strong stations and eliminates
the need for an external antenna
in most strong signal areas. Be
sure the power cord is stretched
out to its full length. Do not
coil or bunch the cord together.
Changing position of the power
cord may improve reception.
• Built-In AFC – The Built In
Automatic Frequency Control
(AFC) works only on FM. It helps
reducing drift on FM reception and
keeping the radio locked in on the
FM station to which it is tuned.
When tuning in FM stations, you
may notice that the station you
are tuning can be well-tuned on
two or three nearby points on the
dial. Always tune carefully at the
loudest and clearest point.
Wake function
Setting wake time
1. Slide SET to .

the upper right corner. AM or PM
indicator also lights beside the
wake time. Refer to Wake time

You can set the radio to play for a set
length of time (up to 90 min) before
turning o automatically.
Press SLEEP repeatedly to select
a duration (90, 60, 30, 15 min or
OFF) before the radio turns o
automatically.
• To check the remaining duration
before the unit turns o , press
SLEEP once.
• To cancel the sleep function, press
SNOOZE/LIGHT or OFF.

electronic product, precautions should

Radio
Turning o the wake function
To silence the wake function
temporarily for extra sleep time:
• With SmartSnooze™, press
SNOOZE/LIGHT, SLEEP or NAP
to turn o the wake function
temporarily for extra sleep time.

• The wake function will activate
again when the snooze period (9
minutes) is over.
• The snooze period is xed and
cannot be changed.
To stop the wake function:
Press OFF. The wake function will
activate again on the following day at
the same time.

Before plugging for power
1. Set the Time Zone
Slide the time zone selector at
the bottom of the unit to Eastern,
Central, Mountain or Paci c. (Refer
to the maps on the right)
2. Set the Daylight Saving Time
Slide the day light saving selector
at the bottom of the unit to turn
on/o in areas observing/not
observing such time change. The
icon shows on the display when
daylight saving time is active.
WARNING: Please avoid playing with
these buttons after entering the Clock/
Alarm set mode.
Auto clock set
You do not have to set the clock time
as a built-in automatic time set system
is equipped in this clock powered by
3V (2 X AA batteries, included). All
you have to do is to plug this clock for
power and current time will be shown
automatically.
However, the batteries can also be
exhausted and we recommend that
you replace the batteries every year.

Display brightness
Rotate DISPLAY on the left of the unit
to increase or decrease the display
brightness.
Night light
To select the night light setting:
Night light is located at the bottom
of the unit. Slide LIGHT on the left of
the unit to select one of the following
settings:
• ON – always turns on the night
light;
• AUTO – turns on the automatic
night light mode;
• OFF – always turns o the night
light.
To use the automatic night light
mode:
• Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to turn on
the night light for about 5 seconds.
• The night light also turns on when
the wake function activates.
NAP function
For catnaps up to 2 hours without
disturbing the regular wake function
settings. The NAP function wakes you
up after a set length of time.
1. Press NAP repeatedly to cycle
among the NAP time available (10
min, 20min, 30min, 60min, 90min
and OFF; 20min is the default
setting).
• The NAP icon ashes on the
display while adjusting.
2. When the desired NAP time is
selected, release NAP and wait for
about 5 seconds, the NAP time is
now set.
• The icon NAP lights on the display.
Auxiliary input
1. Connect your auxiliary input source
(e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN
jack on the back of the unit with
an audio cable (not supplied).
2. Press ON (RADIO/AUX) twice to
turn on the unit and select the
AUX mode.
• The AUX icon lights on the display.
3. Start playback from the auxiliary
source.
4. Adjust the auxiliary source to
mid-range volume and adjust the
master volume by rotating the
VOLUME knob on the unit.
• Do not turn the volume of the
auxiliary source too high as this
may a ect the sound quality.
• For other playback operations,
control them on your auxiliary
source.
5. When nished listening, press ON
(RADIO/AUX) to switch to the
radio or press OFF to turn o the
unit.
• Press NAP once to show
brie y the NAP time left.
• Only alarm tone can be
used with the NAP function.
• Press OFF to cancel the NAP
alarm, or press and hold NAP
until the NAP icon no longer
shows on the display to cancel
the NAP function.

purchaser of this product that should
this product or any part thereof, under

defective in material or workmanship

without charge for parts and repair labor.

is to be delivered with proof of warranty
coverage (e.g. dated bill of sale),

static or noise, to correction of antenna
problems, loss/interruptions of broadcast
or internet service, to costs incurred for
installation, removal or reinstallation
of product, to corruptions caused by
computer viruses, spyware or other
malware, to loss of media, les, data
or content, or to damage to tapes,
discs, removable memory devices or
cards, speakers, accessories, computers,
computer peripherals, other media
players, home networks or vehicle
electrical systems.
• This Warranty does not apply to any
product or part thereof which, in the
opinion of the Company, has su ered
or been damaged through alteration,
improper installation, mishandling,
misuse, neglect, accident, or by removal
or defacement of the factory serial
number/bar code label(s). THE EXTENT
OF THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY UNDER
THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT PROVIDED

How to make a warranty claim:
• If your product is capable of storing
content (such as an mp3 player, digital

to make periodic backup copies of
content stored on the product. If
applicable, before shipping a product,
make a back up copy of content or data
stored on the device. Also, it is advisable
to remove any personal content which
you would not want exposed to others.
IT IS LIKELY THAT CONTENTS AND
DATA ON THE DEVICE WILL BE LOST
DURING SERVICE AND REFORMATTING.
AUDIOVOX ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR
LOST CONTENT OR DATA, OR FOR THE
SECURITY OF ANY PERSONAL CONTENT
OR DATA ON THE RETURNED DEVICE.
Product will be returned with factory
default settings, and without any pre-
loaded content which may have been
installed in the originally purchased
products. Consumer will be responsible
for reloading data and content.
Consumer will be responsible to restore
any personal preference settings.
• Properly pack your unit. Include any
remotes, memory cards, cables, etc.
which were originally provided with the
product. However DO NOT return any
removable batteries, even if batteries
were included with the original purchase.
We recommend using the original carton
and packing materials.
• Include evidence of purchase date such
as the bill of sale. Also print your name
and address and a description of the
defect. Send via standard UPS or its
