If you need service or assistance, we suggest
you follow these four steps:
1. Before calling for assistance...
Performance problems often result from little thongs
you con find and fix yourself wrthout tools of any kind.
If electricity goes off:
Learn how long power will be off by calling the
power company.

If sewice is to be interrupted 24 hours or less, keep
freezer closed. Most food will stay frozen
l
If sewrce IS to be interrupted longer than 24 hours,
do thrs.
1. Remove all unfrozen food and store in a frozen
food locker OR...
2. Place dry ice on top of food, usrng as large
preces as possible Protect your bonds with
gloves when using dry ice
3. If neither food locker storage or dry ice is

able, use or con perishable food at once

The length of time food will stay frozen depends on
several factors. For instance: 0 full freezer will reman
cold longer than a freezer pc~rt~clly filled. And a
freezer full of meat

freezer filled with baked goods Also, if the food str!l
contains ice crystals, it may be safely refrozen, ol-
though the quality and flavor may be affected Use
this food as soon as convenient. If the condirion of
the food is poor or is in any way questionable. 11

If freezer stops running:
l
Check to see if power cord is plugged Into the
outlet
l
Check fuse box or circuit breaker
l
Check electrrc company for a power farlure.

Be sure Temperature Control is turned ON
If compressor seems to run too long:
l
Check to see that condenser, located on bock of
freezer, IS free of dust and Irnt.
l
On hot summer days or If room is hot, compressor WIII
run longer to provide the correct amount of coolrng
l
If large amounts of unfrozen food have been put
Into the freezer, compressor will run longer
l
Check to see that there IS enough air circulation
space above and rn bock of the freezer
