Manual Request: how do I open the range top to access to control knob and associated wiring to troubleshoot the left front heating element that no longer heats.

I have a Tappan electric stove. I can't find a model number, checked doors, sides, ovens, the pull-out drawer.

It's a double-decker: oven and 4 burners on the bottom level; smaller oven on top. All the controls are on a glass panel to the right of the top oven. I'm guessing about 15 years old.

There is no latch to lock the bottom oven. When I turn the dial to "clean," "lock" lights up, but the door opens. Any clues to finding the model number or locking the oven door? (There’s no lever.)

Unit is about 7 years old. Now only about half of one of the large elements is illuminating. Suspicious that it is about to give out on me. Does it need to be replaced? If so, recommendations as to where to get it and how approx. much? I will replace myself if necessary.

The gas range must be over 10 years old, seldom used, but all 4 burners are working. Never needed to use the oven till now, you hear the ignition clicking, smell gas coming, but no heat coming.
