Hitachi 50ES1B/K top 6" of screen would distort occasionally than worked ok for couple days. Than screen went black still have sound. Next day worked ok for about 3hrs than black screen again.

Product Problem: Lamp replacement

I need to replace the LM500 lamp in my TV, the OM says the door for it is in the front of the unit, can't find it, any comments?

It is the large band at the bottom front of TV and it pops off, use caution, once off you will see the access panel to the bulk compartment on the front the user manual on this site is ver useful. cheers

tv won't turn on, red lights are flashing on fromt panel

If your tv powers off and the red lamp light stays on for a short time this means that you need to replace the bulk part #lm500 this site has the user manual and near the end has the instructions for replacing the bulb. cheers
