Product Problem: Indesit d4000 soap dispenser will not close

Indesit D400 dishwasher, soap dispenser cap will not close, what could the problem be?

Latest post, made on 2009-11-17 07:27:14
I have the same problem. The 'regulator' inside my D4000's soap dispenser flips up at some stage during the wash cycle to release the soap tablet in to the dishwasher. But this little, white, plastic, spring-loaded knob won't stay in to allow the lid to be closed with the tablet inside to start the cycle. Has anyone got some advice, please, on how to make it work? Thanks
