Maytage pye2200ayw dryer will not do anything when setting the timer switch--door is closed and dryer is plugged-in and the power outlet measures proper voltage. Need manual to open and find thermal fuse and other parts and how to test the timer swith.

I, too, require a service manual and schematics to find and replace parts on this Maytag Performa PYE2200AYW electric dryer. I replaced the broken knob on the timer. I opened the top cover and replaced the larger thermal fuse, bypassed the safety switch on the door; but the machine still would not start. I need to locate and replace the smaller thermal fuse.

machine will not reset. The sanitizer lite,normal wash lite and the cancel lite all flash. I have tried different ways to reset the dishwasher ie. turning off the breaker ,wolding down the cancel pad and the heat dry pad but nothing works. If anyone wants feed back I am sure willing to slam Maytag. Neil

People with similar snare drum noise on different brand said-- for them--it was stuck flap door to control cold air from freezer to refrigerator. Started dishwasher, operated for a little bit, then a bad electrical smell and burning plastic was noted. In further inspection, I noted an electrical plug from the door panel to the motor had burned through on the left side . The plug to the motor received the worst damage. JMy question is can this plug be replaced or does the whole motor need replacing ?
If the motor needs replacing can I do it myself, and is there any material out there to show a person as to how it goes together?
