Product Problem: Samsung U5 MP3 Player resetting problem

Whatever I set the play mode to, if I exit the now playing screen and go into any folder or anything, the play mode returns to the default.

I have tried resetting the mp3 before and it worked as I found that the ... button returned to its default (DNSE) but now resetting doesn't seem to be working.
Pressing it shuts the mp3 down, it takes a bit longer to open than usual but the rest of the system is the same and the same problems persist.
