Hooked up a water line and filter to my Admiral LS...

Hooked up a water line and filter to my Admiral LSD2615hew and there is no water running to the ice maker. There is water in the water dispenser. Does refridgerator need to cycle before water will dispense in the ice maker? Thank you for your help.
