Hello, I noticed my refrigerator and freezer had some thawing/lack of cooling issues today. The ice is partially melted in the auto dispense tray and dripping. After checking the door to make sure it sealed properly there is still no re-freeze taking place. I noticed the fan(s) that circulate air on the top portion of the unit appear to not be working. Could this be the cause of the thawing? Is this related to compressor failure? Is this something that might be repaired by myself? (I am quite handy) Thank you, Richard.

0 So after a bit of dismantling and trouble shooting I found the problem. A shorting circuit or loose connection. I have isolated it and believe the problem is either: A- between the temp sensor and the wiring harness. B- the wiring harness itself. I will delve into it a bit further this weekend.
