I have a 1999 Coachmen motor home with a americana...

I have a 1999 Coachmen motor home with a americana refrigerator, the tempreture in the refrigerator compartment goes below 40 degrees and I believe shuts down at times. I have no controle dial to set the temperture, what can I do. I bought this motor home 3 weekes ago and do not have a manual. Jim
