My dishwasher has the first light flashing and the...

My dishwasher has the first light flashing and the drain(?) pump runs continuously. Turning it off and on again doesnt fix it. Is there a "reset " proceedure for this model? All there is is a rotary dial, the lights and the power button. By turning the dial to "R" doesnt fix it. Please help
