i have an ariston oven which was bought in 1984. ...

i have an ariston oven which was bought in 1984. they no longer make them I am told. I no longer have the manual. all i want to know is how do i preheat so that i know the temperature has been reached before i place the food inside? usually the light goes off.... please can you help? thanks, sandi
