ASEA 1402 - water no longer comes in to the machin...

ASEA 1402 - water no longer comes in to the machine. My limited handyman guess is a bad solenoid. Is this a reasonable diagnosis and is it something a moderately handy person could handle or should I get a tech straightaway? And, if I do, what could I expect for a service charge? Any ideas are greatly appreciated! MICHAEL, Ventura, CA
