We have just purchased our new asko dishwasher and...

We have just purchased our new asko dishwasher and can not program it to wash , it keeps coming up with door not open enough Symbol, and the touch screen will not respond. We have followed the trouble shooting actions and have deactivated the child lock , but it still won't operate as per normal . What are we doing wrong ?
