I I went and altered the recepies in the manuals as they wern't very expliciate. Still no luck returning my machine tomorrow as I bought it to eat healthier, and found myself adding to much extra to eat it. Awefully dry and heavy.

1 I just want a regular recipe for white bread

0 Try: "Bread!" by Kathryn Hawkins. The US recipes have too much sugar and salt for my Aussie taste, so I adjust. Our standard recipe is now the Simple White Loaf except I use one third wholemeal flour and two thirds white and reduce the sugar and salt to one teaspoon of each. I either cook this in the machine as a loaf or use the 'dough' setting and make round flat rolls that are perfect with salad or cheese for my daughter's lunch box. The rosemary focaccia (page 102) is great at barbecues and lunches.
