Have a new model B2300 breadmaker. Last model I had was from 96 and packed it in. The recipes in the old book were better than the ones in the new book. Will my old recipes work? Can I make 3 lbs of bread dough on the dough setting? It doesnt say in the manual about how much dough it actually makes. If anyone can help me please let me know.

4 Hi - I use the recipes from the old Black & Dekker machine I had. They work well. I tried a recipe from the new one and it rose so much that it lifted the lid. Not any more. Try the old recipes - you will like how they work and how they taste. Also, add garlic chips, parmesan cheese and some Italian seasoning. Beats garlic butter. Try that too.

0 thanks for the input. I calculated out some of my old recipes but made them for a 3 lb dough recipe. The machine works well and I have made the 7 grain recipe for 3 lbs and had it turn out great. I calculated all the recipes that I used for the old breadmaker and made the recxipes for the 3lb variety. Keep in mind that I only use the dough setting on the machine.

0 Once the dough is formed into 3 loaves. I let them rise in the oven for 45 min. Then I bake them off at 350 deg for 20-25 min. I will add all the recipes that I have calculated if anyone is interested only after I try them at home to make sure they work.
